Bligh Tanner has an opportunity for an Undergraduate Structural Engineer in their 3rd year onwards to join our Sydney team.

You will be joining a business dedicated to its people inside what we believe to be one of Australia’s most innovative engineering practices.

Bligh Tanner is a structural, civil, environmental and water engineering consultancy originally established in Queensland.  Over the past 30 years, the firm has been responsible for some of Australia’s most innovative and complex engineering projects, from multimillion-dollar special structures, through to world leading integrated water management systems. The firm has offices in Brisbane and Sydney.

+ The Role

Based in our Sydney office, your role will include the design and delivery of a wide and varied range of projects. You will be given the opportunity to work alongside leaders in our business and liaise directly with clients. At Bligh Tanner you will get hands on support from the directors and your team members including senior engineers. This is a unique opportunity to grow with an expanding practice and position yourself effectively within the industry. This role would suit a person that is motivated and passionate about Structural Engineering and design, with a strong work ethic and the desire to achieve company and self-driven goals.

+ What We’d Like

Currently studying in their 3rd year or later with interest in engineering design particularly in Architectural buildings, infrastructure and institutional projects

Exposure to various design materials including steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry and timber

Demonstrated expertise in relevant analysis software programs including Spacegass, RAM Concept, RAPT and Inducta software

Must possess a current Driver’s License
