Bligh Tanner has an opportunity for a Structural Draftsperson with 3-7+ years’ experience in the industry to join our Sydney team.  You will need the appropriate qualifications with evidence of your experience in the drafting of a variety of projects using different materials. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be joining a business dedicated to its people belonging to what we believe to be one of Australia’s most innovative engineering practices.

+ The Role

This is a unique opportunity to grow with an expanding practice and position yourself prominently within our growing NSW office.  The role would suit a drafter with initiative and a deep understanding and interest in architectural building structures.  Your role will include responsibility for the delivery of documentation on a wide and varied range of projects.

Our drafting team is responsible for interesting, technically challenging drafting for our group of engineers. We work fully within the REVIT/BIM space on all projects regardless of scale and pride ourselves on the quality of documentation and embracing technology. Our projects range from residential to hospitals, schools to retail, heritage and commercial. 

+ Key Responsibilities

Documentation of structural projects to a high standard

Manage and control documentation delivery

Meet deadlines and quality requirements

Liaise with clients and other professionals in delivering designs to satisfy the brief

Maintain and Develop Revit content

Conduct on-site inspections as required 

Provide key support to Principal Engineers and Directors

Be a team player and enjoy working in a small, tight knit team of designers

+ What we'd like

3-7 years experience as a Structural Draftsperson working on building projects in steel, concrete and timber

Minimum 3 years competent experience using Revit Structures

A good understanding of BIM concepts.

Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded

Must possess a current Driver's License
